White Chana In Gravy

Serves a family of 4.

Method:

1.Soak the white chana in water for 7-8 hours.

2.Add salt, turmeric and enough water in a pressure cooker and pressure-cook  (2 high flame and 1 low flame whistles).

3.Pour some oil into another pan (kadhai) and add ginger and garlic to saute.

4.Cook the ginger and garlic until fragrant.

5.Add in the chopped tomatoes and cook on low flame till the tomatoes are well-cooked.

6.Add all the seasonings and this masala to the chana along with a little water if needed and cook in a pressure cooker for another 2 whistles.

7.Garnish with chopped coriander and enjoy with steamed rice!

Ingredients:

White Chana (Chick pea)1 Cup soaked overnight
Tomatoes3-4  medium size, chopped fine
Garlic2 cloves
Ginger2 teaspoons
Oil1 tablespoon
Salt½ teaspoon
Red Chilly PowderTo taste
Turmeric¼ teaspoon
Coriander Powder2-3 teaspoon
Garam Masala1 teaspoon
