Kolkata Style Chilly Chicken
Serves a family of 4
Method:
1.Marinate the chicken for 4-5 hours.
2.Add some oil in a pressure cooker and add the chopped onions and colored peppers.
3.Place the marinated chicken in the cooker and cook on medium – high flame for 4-5 minutes. Then lower the flame and let it sauté (the chicken will start sticking to the bottom of the pan).
4.Add a little water and let the chicken cook for a few more minutes (3-4).
5.Add a little water and pressure-cook.
6.Lastly, make a slurry of corn flour with a little water and add it to the hot gravy while serving. Serve with rice!

For the marination
Chicken legs (remove the skin) | 8 |
Garlic | 7-8 Cloves crushed |
Ginger paste | 3 Tablespoon |
Green chilli paste | 2 crushed and 2 whole chopped coarsely |
Dark Soya Sauce | 2 tablespoon |
Salt | 1/4 teaspoon |
Black Pepper | To Taste |
To Add in the Kadhai
Corn flour | 1 Tablespoon To coat |
Oil | 1 Tablespoon |
Onion | ½ chopped as coarse pieces |
Colored Peppers | 1 cup chopped coarsely |
