Say "NO" to Chronic Diseases

Development of a culturally sensitive website to promote healthy lifestyles and the prevention of chronic illness among South Asians in Hong Kong

Aims of the Study:

This study aims to develop a culturally sensitive multi-language health website to promote healthy lifestyles and the prevention of chronic illnesses among South Asians in Hong Kong. It will contain multimedia features – texts, photos, video and audio materials. There will also be materials on various issues related to common chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetics, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and arthritis): preventive measures, causes, symptoms, treatments and patient best practice. By this means, information and preventive measures against chronic illness will be disseminated to South Asians more effectively.
